Howdy :-)

We need your participation in helping us play at the ROCKWELL festival. This is one of the most popular festivals in Saarland
and we have a chance to play it if you would just write an email to bands@rock-well.de with THE TOLD=ROCKWELL and your work is
done :-) Again the ever running contests at DOOLOAD.de are on going and we could still use some help to earn spots at some of
these cool festivals. The guys are back in the studio to redue some parts because of some technical problems while recording.
The Told was nominated by In Extremo as a top 10 unsigned band to become a featured artist on Myspace. The Told are featured
artists at Mystage Music and are featured in The Portal Magazine w/ DISTURBED !!! Lots of good stuff going on guys and if we keep
it up we should achieve our goals !!! Stay up to date with new shows and an announcement about touring and maybe even some special

Studio Update

Hi all,

So here is an update with the studio. We are finishing up the final touching up with the all the instruments and then we will
starting on the mixing. Just be patient, no worries the album will be out soon :-) Next, we have entered a band contest on the
site Dooload...On this site you can vote for us to play at the Rock Mania Festival.
We sure could use your support and stay tuned. Keep it Metal !!!

So let's get to the point shall we??,

A big a hello and appreciation to the fans of our band The Told. I just want to say that I have been posting blogs up almost
everyday so that I can to keep up with the going on's in the studio, and to start it all off I'm going to give some final
thoughts and insight into our Album.
I have to say that up to this point what we have written and worked on together this past year has been so rewarding. In my
heart I believe that we have tapped the correct influences and desires of everyone in the band to produce a fantastic album
that the whole world will love. Disappointment would surely hit hard if we failed to reach our goals of making music for the
fans, or for that matter, for everyone of us personally.
Choosing to record this album was a difficult decision being that we hadn't put any money into saving for the studio, but we
only had this chance to record it with Michael (but no Sylvia Massey :-( ....). Jumping out of our normal routine we had to plan
this as quickly as possible because I had no intention to wait another 8 months to get studio time. This had to be done now to give
us the best chance to succeed.
When I wrote the lyrics to these songs all of them had something to do with views on the world, personal feelings or about others
that I have run into in my years. Because of these influences it just so happened to turn out that the Album really took on a theme
about human beings and the world, how we think about this or that, react, how we feel or all of these things relationg to religion,
truth, imagination, insanity, identity, nature(in all aspects) and character. Here hence came the album's tittle, "Sedated Solace". My
understanding was that I believe we as a culture are "asleep" so to speak, it takes us a very long time to realize things and move on....
we kind of lumber along as if we were sedated, slow, groggy, in-coherent and misunderstood. We are always looking for "the way" and
rely on "God", religion or something else we can or can't hold onto in order to give us an identity, complete us or make us feel good.
Combine all this with Solace and you have a very long drawn out relief from ones "self" or the world that may never come. I'm hoping
people find my lyrics provacative and the music exhilerating, but also find the irony inside what I talk about too. So I will sign off

Hey Hey Hey,

It is official !! From 15.02.09 to 15.03.09 we will be in the studio recording our Album to be tittled
"Sedated Solace". On 6.04.09 to 12.04.09 we are finished with final production and the cd's will then be pressed.
So, yes...we should have our album finished and ready to release at the end of April or beginning of May.
We are sooo excited. Our decision to finally do this comes from lots of support and fan interest, plus
we thought it was finally time. The album will include 12 studio songs, 3 Live Unplugged songs and a fully
professionally produced video. This is huge for a first full album release and no-one should miss it. Pass
and spread the word around cause this album will be one of the best you will ever buy.

Hi Everyone,

Friday night was exciting. Great atmosphere, some food, lots of things to drink and of course...
MUSIC. We want to thank first and fore most the Werkhof for scheduling this show and a close second,
The Messenger. It was a fun night with great music and most of all great fans there to support us bands.
It was nice to finally meet everyone from The Messenger and look forward to doing many more events and
shows with them. One thing is for sure....we need to schedule another show at the Werhof, cause it was
a show that was just full of energy with a close to packed house. Thank you and hope to see you soon at
our next scheduled shows.

Happy day to all,

Holy Moses !!! All I have to say is WOW!! The show in Dormagen was awesome. 150 or more fans in
a small venue, packed, sweaty and headbanging galore. A big thanks goes out to Mirrormind
for inviting us to come up there to play a show with them and what a show. Celebrating their 5 year
anniversary, the Micado Cafe showed it's teeth in the music club scene with a great crowd of music
lovers. We want to thank every single one of you and Micado Cafe too for letting us be a part
of your world for 1 night.

Now on to Sunday..... Devil's Place really out-did themselves. With great decorations, food, drinks
games and bands playing Unplugged from 12-8pm put much money in the pockets of Disabled Children.
Thank you to Claude and his Wife for letting us be a part of it. What can we say? A whole weekend
full of great shows, people and of course....lots to drink. Hope to see you guys at the next show near
you. We will take a small break in December so.....Happy Holidays and take care!!!

Thank you so much for a great night to remember. You did not let us down and as we promised
we did not let you down. This show was one of the most rewarding shows to date. I hope we can
do it again soon. Thanks go out to the Horst and Michael for a super job and night.

Hey Fans,

We are sooo stoked for this show. Our first official Unplugged show and we expect to have record turn out.
We have put great effort into promotion, practice and general preperation for this show so that
it won't be a let down or sound like so many bands that try to play unplugged....SHIT !! We
garauntee that this show will be one of the best shows you have ever seen from us and it only
gets better from here. We are currently talking to Management and Labels....you could see us soon
touring the USA and the world. Stay tuned everyone, as soon as we know...you will know.

Thank you Koln ! What a great show and night. We all thank you for your outstanding support
at the AF Festival. We met new cool, nice people and bands, plus it was a blast with all the
fans that came out to support us all. We want to thank Code 187, RFE, Sober Truth and especially
Mirrormind and Mico from AF Booking for inviting us and putting on a great festival with a top notch

Hey boys and girls,

We are proud to announce, that we got offered while recording at Deathtone Studio from an
independent film maker out of Saarbrücken to shoot a video from one of our new songs off our first
full Album "Revelations". We decided on the track "Beat you Down" to receive the honors. :-)

Don't worry, it won't take long before the video will be finished and posted, so be patient. At the
moment we are just about finished with lying the tracks down to 3 more songs that will be
included on "Revelations" and then we will start mix-down.

To sum it all up things took a little longer because of the video shooting, but it has been well
worth it and a great experience.

Thank you Micheal and Alex for the opportunity to do this.

on Saturday I received great news. Our song "Sick" has been accepted by Clear Channel Music. This
means up to 10,000,000 people can now listen to our song and it will be played on over 500 radio stations
across North America
